Liliana Cantú

Liliana Cantú is a native Mexican with over 10 years of experience as trainer and facilitator. Liliana has a BS degree in Marketing and a Masters Degree in Communication with an emphasis on Intercultural Communication. She also holds the Intercultural Foundations Certificate awarded by the Intercultural Communication Institute.

She has professional experience in the fields of human resources, public relations and relocation destination services, as well as in the design, customization and delivery of intercultural, global leadership, conflict management, mediation, teambuilding, ethics and diversity training, in English and Spanish. Liliana has personal intercultural experience in several countries including the United States, Canada, Venezuela, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Portugal.

Liliana has participated as a speaker and planning committee member at international symposia, and served at the 2004-2005 Employee Relocation Council’s Global Advisory Council. She has delivered and coordinated training programs for national and international audiences, in organizations such as Novartis, Chrysler, Kraft, Caterpillar, Michelin, DELL, Pepsico, Toyota, Delphi, Starwood, Lego, Whirlpool, Intel, Ernst & Young and at the United Nations. In several of these assignments she has performed as a bilingual freelance instructor for companies from around the world.

Liliana has also performed as a part time university professor at one of the most prestigious institutions in Latin America: the ITESM (commonly known as Monterrey Tech), where she has taught intercultural communication courses to national and international students, in Spanish and English.

Enidio Magel

Enidio Magel

Enidio Magel is an intercultural consultant, global educational facilitator and executive coach. His work expands over 17 years in the field of cross cultural relations and social psychology. His contributions have been featured in Hispanic and Parenting magazines, El Mundo and The Austin American Statesman. Enidio has facilitated numerous sessions on cross-cultural relations in Asia, Europe and Latin America and has coached dozens of executives throughout the world.

Mr. Magel holds graduate and undergraduate degrees in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Santa Monica.

Alan Richter

Alan Richter Ph. D.

Alan Richter is the president of QED Consulting, a 23-year-old company based in New York. He has consulted to corporations and organizations for many years in multiple capacities, primarily in the areas of leadership, values, culture and change. He has provided strategic consulting and facilitation and program delivery for varied organizations globally, and has been involved in innovative instructional product development. He is a recognized pioneer in the diversity field.

Dr. Richter is the creator of The Global Diversity Game© -- an award winning training tool, and co-creator of the Coaching Development Assessment© – a developmental tool for leader coaches and executive coaches, The Global Diversity Survey© -- a self-assessment tool which measures how we deal with difference, The Global Leadership Survey© – a leadership style self-assessment tool, The Global Diversity & Inclusion Benchmarks© and The Global Ethics & Integrity Benchmarks© -- which helps organizations measure their Diversity and Ethics initiatives against global best practices. He also co-produced Global Words for Global Leaders© -- an inspirational leadership video, and co-authored Lost in Cyberspace© -- a team-decision based tool that explores the nature of global virtual teams.

He has worked closely with many multi-national companies and organizations. Dr. Richter has also been a presenter at many conferences. He serves on the Board of the South African American Chamber of Commerce (SACCA) and Kean University’s Global MBA Program.

He has also consulted extensively in on-line services, has taught philosophy, psychology, and interdisciplinary courses at the Open University in Britain, has worked as a lexicographer and technical writer, and is the author of several books and articles. His articles have covered aspects of business ethics, diversity and globalization and he has written chapters in books such as ethics in a textbook on pathology, and cross-cultural aspects of medicine. He is currently editing a book on global values seen through the context of comparative jurisprudence.

Dr. Richter has an M.A. and a B.A.B.Sc. from the University of Cape Town, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Birkbeck College, London University.

Joerg Schmitz is managing director of Schmitz & Associates LLC and senior consultant with TMC. He is a practicing cultural anthropologist and thought leader with over 20 years experience as advisor, facilitator, and coach. He assists organizations, teams, and leaders navigate the cultural challenges associated with internationalization, globalization, and the growing diversity of societies, workforces, and marketplaces.

Mr. Schmitz has partnered with a wide variety of clients across industries and geographies. In close collaboration with these clients, he designed and implemented innovative leadership development solutions and consulted in the areas of global talent management, post-acquisition cultural integration, global alignment, organization culture change, and client relationship management.

From 1997 to 2010, Mr. Schmitz held various executive positions at TMC, a leading cultural consulting and learning solutions provider that became part of Berlitz International in 2008. He was responsible for content and solutions development, consulting and learning services, innovation and strategy, and key client engagements. He led the development and launch of the Cultural Orientations Indicator®, the Cultural Navigator™, the Inclusive Leadership practice area and related practitioner certifications. He is co-author of Doing Business Internationally (2002) and author of Transcendent Teams (2000, Princeton Training Press), and The Cultural Orientations Guide (5th edition 2007) and the Guide for Inclusive Leaders (2007) as well as a series of white papers.

Mr. Schmitz continues to turn his experience into thought- and practice-leadership. He is a native of Germany and holds degrees from German institutions in English and Educational Sciences. He received undergraduate degrees in Psychology, Philosophy and Anthropology and a Masters of Arts degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of South Carolina. He specialized in bio-cultural anthropology and communication analysis, studying with leaders in these fields.
